"They may forget your name, but they will never forget how you made them feel.-Maya Angelou"
My name is Judd Marshall, I am 26 years old, married, and a father of two daughters. Since the age of eighteen I have been serving in the US Army and credit my service with making me the person that I am today. Currently, I am enrolled in the nursing program at Cayuga Community College. I am expected to graduate with an Associate in Applied Science in Nursing in May 2014. Upon graduating I will finally be able to say that I have accomplished a goal that I have been pursuing for well beyond the time that I have been enrolled at Cayuga Community College.
When I am not immersed in nursing school I spend much of my free time with my wife and two daughters. This is very important to me as I know that they have sacrificed a lot in order for me to be where I am today. Also, when not spending time with my family I enjoy playing my guitar, watching documentaries and other factual television, and keeping up with my friends in Tennessee through social media. These are important to me as I feel that keeping up with current events and playing a musical instrument allow for relaxation and keep the brain youthful.
My professional goal upon passing my NCLEX is to obtain employment through the VA healthcare system and to eventually transition back into the military as an registered nurse. Also, I would like to obtain my BSN within three years and possibly my MSN within ten, depending on my level of satisfaction once obtaining my bachelors.
